Sen. Kay Kirkpatrick elected to serve on the executive committee for the National Conference of State Legislatures.

LEADERSHIP: State Sen. Kay Kirkpatrick, R-east Cobb, was elected to serve on the executive committee for the National Conference of State Legislatures.

The NCSL is a bipartisan organization that offers resources and professional development for state lawmakers through policy research, training and technical assistance.

The NCSL’s executive committee is its main governing body and is made up of 63 members, according to an announcement. The committee provides oversight for the organization’s operations and mission, and meets about four times a year.

“I am honored by the opportunity to serve on the executive committee of the National Conference of State Legislatures,” Kirkpatrick said. “NCSL plays an important role in bringing together state leaders from across the country to share ideas and develop practical solutions to the challenges our states face. I look forward to representing Georgia, contributing to those conversations and helping ensure state legislatures remain strong, effective institutions that best serve the people.”
